Bringing the delight of music to your memories (official website)
At Musical Memory performances, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for youth to use music as a way to connect, inspire, and grow. Through performances, volunteering, and now more competitive platforms, Musical Memory continues to empower young people to futher develop their musical skills, all while making a positive impact in the community.
In 2025, we are expanding our work by launching one of Ottawa’s first student-run music competition for youth performers aged 6–12. This event will celebrate not only the musical excellence, growth, and sharing, but also continuing our mission of giving young musicians a stage to shine; opportunities that are beneficial to the development of up and coming musicians.
Musical Memory is built on the idea that music can create lasting memories, meaningful experiences, and stronger communities — and our journey is only just beginning.
Musical Memory was founded by Chris Guo in April 2024, inspired by the belief that music has the power to bring people together. The idea began when he realized how meaningful live performance could be in creating joy and connection across generations. Motivated by this vision, Musical Memory started as a student-run initiative that organizes performances in retirement communities, giving young musicians a chance to share their talents while building bonds with seniors.
